Our Story

Since the start of REWD Group, we have built up a residential Buy-To-Let portfolio of over 250 properties across Scotland, with a £13.5m asset value and a gross monthly rent roll of over £100,000.  We have achieved this level of growth by utilising funding from private individuals as well as commercial banks.  With new funding support, we are confident to repeat (or surpass) this level of growth over the next 3-year period.  Ultimately, over a 10-12 year period, we expect this growth multiplier to repeat several times.

As we grow, our level of capital appreciation grows with us.  We mainly purchase to have the ability to recycle cash and for cashflow, so whilst capital appreciation is not a critical part of our investment analysis it is something to factor in over time.  On average, in Scotland, property prices are doubling every 10-12 years, so we expect our asset value to (at least) double during that period.

As well as our own efforts to create more housing stock, we also educate others to do as we do, and help them along the journey, every step of the way.  Since the creation of REAL Property Scotland, we have educated and assisted over 100 people to achieve goals they never believed were possible.  The more people we educate, the more people can contribute to the solution for the problem, which ultimately reduces the timeframe and increases the productivity of our operation.

Alex Robertson

Alex, a self-made property investor and Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), has a robust financial background and extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. He transitioned into property investment in 2010, utilizing his financial expertise and project management skills to contribute to the growth of REWD Group. Although he often operates behind the scenes, Alex plays a vital role in shaping the company's strategy and investment decisions. His partnership with co-founders, Laurie and Conar, combines their unique skills, creating a well-balanced and prosperous business.

Laurie Duncan

Laurie began investing in buy-to-let property back in 2010, acquiring his first investment simply because it was across the road from where he bought his first home (it had been on the market a while, and he got a good deal on it, of course!). Since then he’s been building his own portfolio, as well as REWD Group’s together with Alex. He has over 20 years’ experience in international sales & business development, with a track record of building both top and bottom lines, to enable business expansion into new markets and product ranges. Laurie is constantly seeking out new potential to push the company on to new areas and opportunities.

Conar Tracey

Conar started as a 'Trainee Estate Agent' at 18 and became Scotland's youngest Property Valuer at 19. With nearly a decade in the industry, he's brokered 1,500+ property deals across the UK, holding qualifications in commercial property and building surveying.

He's managed operations for leading estate agents and property auctions, earning a stellar industry reputation. Conar excels at identifying unique investment opportunities and unconventional deals. He joined forces with Laurie and Alex in 2018, As Commercial Director, he maximizes profitability across all group companies.
